Did you hear? The beautiful market town of Leek in the Staffordshire Peak district was voted joint second with Ramsbottom, Lancashire in the High Street of the Year 2013 award!
Leek is a beautiful old market town in the Staffordshire Moorlands
just 16m from Tenacious Bloom Studios in Stone.
I'd been meaning to visit for some time, and this week I went to find out just what all the fuss was about!
This blog post was originally going to feature three wonderful independent Leek businesses, but during my visit, decided to split it into 3 parts.
Here is part one........
As I walked in I was greeted by the delicious warming aroma of fresh Monmouth coffee and a visual feast that is Spout's signature style, particularly exciting for someone who loves vintage and Mid-Century Design as much as I do!
I take photos of everything. Whenever and wherever I see a great pattern, colour combination, texture or composition, I just have to stop and snap it!

Drink coffee. Eat Cake. Be Happy
My lovely latte with cute heart shortbread biscuit was delicious!
So I definitely was :D
I'd love you hear of your experience of the independent shops in your area,
or your experiences and stories of Spout cafe ….
Next up: Post number two coming soon, featuring a fabulous independent fashion label!
